Through my drawings and paintings I have explored through my personal experiences how they interact and are influenced by the events on the world stage that in fact influence all of us collectively. What do we learn from our families, from our friends and from the larger world and how does this coalesce into the individual we become? How does our own story and the collective stories intertwine and weave together within history and the questions of who are we as human beings? How does this make us different yet share many of the same underlying experiences as we journey through our own lives and cross the paths of many other individuals. How do our choices shape us and define us?

I also explore how our reality may conflict with shared realities and how this can be seen as a threat and demonized. Self-reflection and critical thinking are essential in the evolutionary process. The arts provide a means through which the most difficult of human dilemmas can be explored, shared and discussed.

My intent is to inspire open discussions through sharing my personal journey that has been shaped by own inner experiences but also by experiences shared by world events and the experiences that we all share by living on Planet Earth. 9/11 is such a world event whose impact is still rippling out into the collective consciousness. Against this backdrop I ask how has ancient wisdom influenced who we are today and can this wisdom help create a better world? How do our choices create who we are and the world we inhabit on Earth and in the larger Cosmos?

Let’s explore these questions together
